DeForest Stowe (Tommy) Tomlinson

TOMLINSON, DeFOREST STOWE (TOMMY) He was born in Keokuk, Iowa November 17, 1913 and went home to be with the Lord on Sunday May 4, 2008 at his home at Chambrel in Garland, TX. He was a WWII US Air Force Flight Officer Veteran and a 32nd Mason. He retired from National Cash Register in 1977 after 32 years of distinguished service. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Reba, his son Mike Tomlinson and wife Lynn, daughter DeAnne Driver and her husband Representative Joe Driver; Grandsons Brent Tomlinson and Geoff Tomlinson and his wife Katie; Eric Browning and his fiance Leia Jones, and granddaughter Lynsey Browning; and great granddaughter Caroline Tomlinson.

Brother Joe Haddock

It having pleased our Heavenly Father to take from us a faithful and distinguished member of East Trinity Masonic Lodge No. 157, Ancient, Free, and Accepted Masons.

Brother Haddock was born on December 23, 1937, and passed from our earthly fellowship on December 1, 2007. He was initiated on October 25, 1965, passed to the degree of Fellowcraft on December 27, 1965, and was raised to the Sublime Degree of a Master Mason on January 28, 1966. Brother Haddock served a Worshipful Master from June, 1994 to June, 1995, and served as the District Deputy Grand Master of the 13th Masonic District of the Grand Lodge of Texas in 2005. East Trinity awarded Brother Haddock the Golden Trowel Award in 2002.

Franklin Bradshaw P.M.

87, passed away on Sunday October 28, 2007.

He was born July 29, 1920 in Greenville, Texas to Clarence and Laura Bradshaw. He is survived by his wife 59 years, Mary E (Liz) Bradshaw and daughter and son-in-law Patricia Ann and Dan Cole plus numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sisters Lenora E. McCormack, Iva Lee Gideon, and E. Juanita Dickens. He graduated from Longview High School and the Texas A&M with a degree in mechanical engineering in 1943.

Past Grand Master Harry Cunningham

Harry Glen Cunningham, age 73, past Grand Master of Texas Masonry, died July 8, 2007.

A true and dedicated Texan, Grand Master Harry Glen Cunningham was born on January 24, 1934, on a farm in the rural community of Oak Ridge near Ladonia in Fannin County, Texas. He attended two public schools, Bartley-Woods and Ladonia High School, where he graduated on June 1, 1951. He attended East Texas State Teachers College in 1952 previous to joining the United States Air Force. From June, 1953 to June, 1961, he served in the United States Air Force Security Service during the Korean and at the beginning of the Viet Nam Conflicts. He had two tours of duty overseas in Tripoli, Libya and Nord, Greenland.

After being honorably discharged from the Air Force in 1961, he maintained his residence in San Antonio. He was employed immediately by Sears, Roebuck and Company, where he worked for 28 years in various managerial positions throughout San Antonio and South Texas. He retired from Sears on April 30, 1989. The highlight of Grand Master Cunningham’s life is when he met Barbara Harn Davis at Lackland Baptist Church in 1966. They married on May 9, 1969. They have one daughter, Cye, and two sons, Sonny and Scott.

A believer of being active in community affairs, Grand Master Cunningham was very active in church, civic and community affairs in San Antonio since January, 1956. He served Lackland Baptist Church as a Sunday School Teacher, Usher, Member of Finance and Personnel Committees, and Chairman of the Long-Range Steering Committee, and trustee

Frank Oran Moyer

TEXAS CITY - Frank Oran Moyer, 80, a dedicated husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, went to be with his Lord Sunday, March 25, 2007.

Funeral services will be held 10 a.m., Thursday, March 29, at Emken-Linton Funeral Home in Texas City with the Rev. John Stewart officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Park East Cemetery in Webster. Visitation will be 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 28, 2007, at the funeral home.

Mr. Moyer was a resident of Texas City for 55 years. He was a 40-year member and Past Master of the Texas City Masonic Lodge #1118. He was also a past District Deputy of Masonic District 31 B of the Most Worshipful Grand Lodge of Texas. He retired from Monsanto after 30 years of service and spent the remainder of his life enjoying family, carpentry, gardening and his love of the Masonic Lodge.

Darrel L. Conn

Funeral services for Darrel L. Conn, 79, of Joshua were held Thursday, November 8, 2001 at Laurel Land Memorial Chapel in Fort Worth. Burial was at Laurel Land Memorial Park of Fort Worth. Brother Conn died Monday, November 5, 2001, in Cleburne. He was a retired Machinist for Kodata, Inc. of Fort Worth. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Joshua, a member of Caddo Grove Lodge #352 in Joshua, Dallas Scottish Rite and Moslah Shrine and a life member of VFW Post #6872. He was a United States Army Veteran of World War II. Mr. Conn was preceded in death by his wife, M. Patricia Conn in 1989. He is survived by son, Darrel William Conn and wife, Beth, of Granbury; three brothers, Frank, Lloyd and Elray Conn.

Darrel Lee Conn was born in Yellow Pine, Texas. He was the first born of five. (more…)

James Marvin Woodruff

July 30, 1918 - June 30, 1998.

Brother Woodruff was a proud member of Garrett Alexander Lodge, 7119 E. Grand Avenue in Dallas. He was also a proud member of the Scottish Rite of Dallas and a proud member of the Shriners of north America ~ Lodge in Garland, Texas.

He is buried in the IOOF cemetery in Ravenna, Texas.
