After the death of one of our past masters that I had never met, I learned quite a bit about him. I also realized there wasn’t room in his obituary for his masonic record. There should be a place for us to remember our brethren. It may also become a great resource for future generations of masons. I wish I had this resource now for all of our deceased members.
For anyone so inclined, please send obituaries of masons to new@masonicobituaries.com. Please include:
- the brother’s masonic record
- any personal details you see fit.
- If you can get permission, please include the newspaper obituary as well.
- When appropriate or required, include credits for sources and I’ll include them.
The site is simple right now but that’s a good thing. I’ll add features as I get requests and have time. In the mean time, you can search by key word and sort by a few categories. If you have ideas or concerns, feel free to write to new@masonicobituaries.com.
